Preparing native QuarkXPress
Color Selection
All colors being used in QuarkXPress (including default Red, Green and Blue if you use them) need to be set to CMYK Process Mode. No Spot Colors should be used. To modify colors, use the Edit menu, Colors command.
Update Links
Before sending a file, use Picture Usage to verify that all links are present and updated.Collect all linked files
QuarkXPress has a Collect for Output command (File menu) that will copy the document and its associated picture files into one folder and prepare a font report. The font report will list the fonts used. However, you will have to gather the font files yourself. Remember, PostScript fonts have two files each; a screen font and a printer font. We need both.
FONTS folder
As with all orders, you must provide a folder named FONTS. Place all the fonts used to create your file into the FONTS folder.
Utility to simplify Quark file submission
FlightCheck Collect! by MarkzWare is a software tool that will simplify the submission process by automatically verifying and collecting links and fonts. Many of our customers that use QuarkXPress also use FlightCheck. Files prepared with FlightCheck are very reliable. If you use Quark regularly, it may be a good investment.

Converting QuarkXPress to PDF format
If you have Adobe Acrobat Distiller, you can convert your native Quark file into a PDF. A properly produced PDF file will include all placed image files and fonts.
