.TIF Express
48 Hour Service
.TIF Express Service
Files submitted as pure pixel files that are the correct document size, and saved in CMYK TIF or CMYK JPG, will be processed immediately. Because pure pixel files require no preflight, qualifying files will be placed in the print queue without delay.
Pixel only (.TIF) files of quantities up to 5000 are generally printed within 48 hours of receipt. Orders over 5000 require RUSH service for expedited turnaround. Clearly mark FAX orders “TIF file” for the fastest service.
The .JPG format will also qualify for .TIF Express. A .JPG file will be smaller than .TIF thus reducing upload time. When saving art as a .JPG file select the Maximum Quality setting to preserve the image.
.TIF Express Service applies to print jobs not requiring bindery or finishing including UV coating, scoring, perforating, folding, drilling, die cutting, corner rounding and or foiling. If you order a proof, turnaround time begins when we receive your approval to print. Tight turnaround and or a specific "ready no later than" deadline requires RUSH service. Of course, RUSH service availability is subject to our current schedule.

How To Make A High Resoloution .TIF File From An Adobe Application
Illustrator • .PDF • InDesign • .EPS
The following step-by-step instructions will lead you through the process of creating a high-resolution .TIF or JPG file from an Adobe graphic design application. The following technique only works if you have a fairly current version of Adobe Photoshop.
Adobe Illustrator, .PDF and .EPS files can be opened directly by Photoshop.
For files created with Adobe InDesign you must use the InDesign menu option “File > Export…”. and “Export...” the layout as a .PDF or .EPS file.

You will see a window that looks like this.
Media Box Setting
Within the Photoshop Import dialog set the “Crop To:” pull-down to "Media Box". Media Box will recall the “Page Size” or “Document Size” you selected when creating the file in you design application.
Media Box is the preferred “Crop To:” selection because it will display the full page even if it is blank and will eliminate any objects located off the page or outside of the “Document Size” such as stray points or unused objects. The recommended resolution for the import is 800 dpi however, HOTGLOSS will accept up to 1200 dpi. Before you spend the time on a high-resolution import, perform a 72 dpi preview import to verify that all elements renders as expected.
File Resolution
Set the "Resolution:" to 800 pixels/inch. If you save a file with the resolution set to 800 dpi or more also set the anti-aliased check box to off. High-resolution (800+ dpi.) files with text will print smoothest with anti-aliasing turned off, especially small fonts of 6 points or less.
Color Mode
The color “Mode” should be set to CMYK to maximize color accuracy. HOTGLOSS will accept RGB files but you are likely to encounter color shift, as many RGB colors are not reproducible with CMYK printing.

When Saving the file use .JPG set to maximum quality to minimize file size.
